Spiced Rhum Cocktail | Kalme
You know that awkward time of year when the weather can’t quite make up its mind? One day it’s hot enough to consider moving your entire life outdoors, and the next, you’re back in your cozy socks, questioning if summer is just a myth. Well, I’ve found the perfect solution to this seasonal identity crisis: a cocktail that works for both sun-drenched afternoons and breezy spring evenings.
*drum roll* Enter the Spiced Rhum Cocktail, a smooth and flavorful tea cocktail featuring Rhum Barbancourt, our lovely Kalme tea, fresh lemon juice, and a touch of maple syrup.
Whether you’re basking in the warmth or shaking off a surprise cold front, this drink has you covered.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Rhum Barbancourt (or your favorite aged rum)
- 4 oz strong Kalme tea, cooled
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2 oz maple syrup
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slice and fresh mint for garnish
Instructions:
Brew a strong cup of Kalme tea and let it cool to room temperature. If you’re impatient (like me), pop it in the fridge for a few minutes.
In a shaker, combine the Rhum Barbancourt, Kalme tea, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Fill with ice and shake vigorously—pretend you’re shaking off the last of winter’s chill.
Strain into a glass filled with ice.
Garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint for that extra pop of freshness.
Sip, savor, and let the flavors transport you to a sun-drenched patio in the Caribbean.
This cocktail is the perfect balance of warmth from the cinnamon and anise in Kalme, brightness from the lemon, and richness from the maple syrup, all tied together by the smooth, golden notes of Rhum Barbancourt. It’s a toast to changing seasons, unpredictable weather, and the simple joy of a well-made drink.
Santé!
